Contibuting to individual and collective healing that makes possible a more peaceful and just world

Ide Maria Helander, Vice-Chair of Suoma Sami Nuorat, describes her experience at a Healing of Memories workshop and how the methods she learned can help her people.

In communities victimized by war everyone has been wounded by the conflict.  Antti Pentikainen who works with the UN to reach out to tribal and religious groups have found our methods vital in bringing about healing and reconciliation.

"I had an opportunity to seek help and I had an opportunity to surrender and when I did I found healing of memories."

--David Campbell, Gulf War Veteran

"This was a really unique experience for me. It wasn't clinical, it wasn't manufactured, it was something very genuine that goes very deep and ultimately is one of the most important things I have been through to heal and to help find a way forward

--Matt Hoh,

"It was a safe place for me to heal. It has changed my life"

What our participants say

“I was empowered to view life as positive, to move ahead and not let the past overpower me.”

“I’ve been to many workshops before but have never put my story together before. I did it here. Thank you.”

“I found the experience cultivated a deep sense of empathy in me that was unexpected and profound. I also feel that telling my “story in such a safe space and witnessing others’ stories shifted something inside me and connected me in a way that felt genuine and deep.”

“I learned the technique of purging old memories of negative experiences and in the results having the ability of growing in the good in my heart, mind and soul.”

“I waited 24 years to tell this story.”

"I found a connectedness with people for which I am extremely grateful.  Words like `peace, strength, and hope’ mean something now where before they were just silly words that I felt were overused and had lost meaning. I found my love for people again.”

"I came in broken - I'm leaving restored, renewed and happy."

"I have been given a second half of my life being able never to be broken inside."

"The highlight was the shared experiences we all had in our core and how inspired I was with the courage I witnessed in people's struggles toward liberation."

"This has helped me more than I can ever say".

"This has helped on so many levels that others need to come and experience this for themselves".

"This workshop has brought truth and clarity to my life."

"I found that I’m really not alone in the journey. There are people like me and what happened to me does not define me."

"I learned something about my behavior that I had never acknowledged before."
